This course is designed for faculty and course builders who are new to Moodle 2 or Joule 2. It focuses on how to get started in Moodle and Joule and includes using the Moodle file repository for managing files, using the HTML editor, updating profile settings, and creating resources for a course. This course also covers how to use Moodle's activity completion and restrict access settings, add video to increase engagement, communication tools, and use course management tools such as enrollment and course backups/restores. This course is not facilitated.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to navigate through a Moodle and Joule course; setup and build courses using best practices in Moodle course design; communicate with students through Moodle; add Labels, Pages, Books, Files, Folders, IMS Content Packages and URLs as course resources; add videos into a resource, backup and restore courses; and import and export IMS Common Cartridge files.
